Know what’s agreed before the visit.
Sending an enquiry does not book a visit or commit you to a charge. The job and booking arrangements are confirmed with you in writing.
Your booking and hourly rates
Before you book, Jon will confirm the work, hourly rates, any parts needed, any known extra charges, an arrival window and payment arrangements. A visit is booked only after the details are agreed.
Hourly labour and parts
Labour is £115 for the first hour, which is the minimum visit charge, then £65 per hour after the first. Normal local travel is included; any additional travel charge for your location is agreed before booking. Parts and materials are extra. The first-hour charge does not guarantee completion of a repair within that hour. We will discuss the likely time and any uncertainty before booking. The basis for charging part-hours, parts collection and any return visit will be confirmed with you before you agree. Any parking charge or travel charge outside the usual area is also agreed in advance.
Access and existing fittings
Please give accurate information about the job, fittings, water isolation, access and parking. Where safe, clear space around the fitting before the visit. Existing pipework or fittings may be damaged, seized or different from expected. Where possible, we’ll explain the issue and discuss any revised work and estimated cost before continuing. If immediate action is needed to stop a leak or make the installation safe, we may take the necessary steps and explain what happened as soon as possible. Once safe, we’ll discuss and agree any further work with you.
Materials and fittings
We can supply materials or fit your own. The cost of materials supplied by us is discussed with you and charged separately. Customer-supplied parts must be compatible, complete and undamaged. An attendance charge agreed before booking may still apply if incorrect information or an unsuitable customer-supplied part prevents work. This does not apply to problems caused by our advice or work. A replacement part or return visit is priced and agreed separately. Your statutory rights apply to our installation work and any parts we supply. For parts you supply, product faults should be raised with your supplier; we remain responsible for our installation work.
Payment and changes
The payment method and due date are set out in your booking confirmation or invoice. No deposit is collected through this website. If special-order parts require an advance payment, its purpose and cancellation treatment will be explained before you agree.
Cancelling your appointment
If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so as early as possible.
If something isn’t right
Please contact us with the job details and your concern. We will review it and explain our response and any proposed remedy. Your rights to work carried out with reasonable care and skill, and your other statutory consumer rights, remain unaffected.
